Garden Notes: Festive events for your calendar

East Cork Flower Club will host a Christmas Demo by Nora Gallagher AOIFA on Monday, December 4 at 8pm in St John The Baptist School Hall Midleton. Light Refreshments will be served. Visitors welcome. Admission €10.

Clonakilty Flower Club welcomes Eileen O'Brien of AOIFA as its demonstrator on Monday, December 4 at 8pm in the GAA Complex, Ahamilla, Clonakilty. The club will also hold its Christmas Show, themed 'Aspects Of Christmas' on the same night, together with a raffle and refreshments.

The Friends of Marymount will host the Christmas Floral Extravaganza & Christmas Fair with Malcolm Kitt. It takes place in the Rochestown Park Hotel on Tuesday, December 5. Doors open at 6pm, demonstration at 7.30pm. Refreshments served. Tickets €25. Contact Marymount Office 0214869100 or Anne O Mahony 0876197968. All proceeds to Marymount Hospice.

Kanturk Flower and Garden Club will host its Annual Christmas Floral Demonstration on Wednesday, December 6 at 8pm in The Temperance Hall, Strand Street, Kanturk (next to Alley Bar) – with guest demonstrator Petra Baker, The Square Garden, Kilworth. The event is titled “Christmas Floral Arranging Inspired By Seasonality and Natural Christmas Decor”. Seasonal refreshment served. Everyone welcome. Entry fee €10.

Kinsale Garden and Flower Club will hold its 40th Anniversary dinner and gala demonstration on December 7 in Actons Hotel, Kinsale with Malcolm Kitt, AOIFA and Eileen O'Brien AOIFA.
