Spring is in full swing in Florida, and boating season is upon us! ICON EV and the ICON Family of Brands were docked portside at the Suncoast Boat Show, which took place April 25-27, 2025 at Marina Jack in downtown Sarasota. For over 40 years, the Suncoast Boat Show has showcased the maritime and outdoor lifestyle that makes Florida living so much fun. And of course, ICON was proud to represent the epitome of outdoor adventure at this show.

ICON EV GOLF CARTS SHUTTLE THE PALM BEACH BOAT SHOW

Nothing gets ICON EV charged up faster than shuttling attendees to a spectacular show! For the third consecutive year, ICON EV is the official – and EXCLUSIVE – golf cart company, running non-stop complimentary electric golf cart shuttles to, through, and around the Palm Beach International Boat Show (PBIBS). The 2025 Palm Beach Boat Show is now even bigger and even better! For the first time ever, the event will encompass five days, beginning on Wednesday, March 19th, and running through Sunday, March 23rd.

The show’s layout spans across a long length of West Palm Beach’s spectacular Flagler Boulevard. The show begins at Banyan Boulevard on the northern end, and continues south to Lakeview Avenue, which is the easternmost end of Okeechobee Boulevard before the bridge to Palm Beach Island. In-water boats, yachts, and maritime displays occupy miles of dock space across the Intracoastal Waterway.

With the increased size and attendance of the show, a potentially overwhelming traffic flow could have been a genuine concern.  But not with the help of the tried-and-true transport team at ICON EV!

Once again, the ICON EV Golf Cart Shuttles will be running complimentary routes from the Brightline Train Station to the south entrance of the show at Lakeview. But due to the overwhelming demand of these popular shuttles, the 2025 shuttle service includes several additional passenger drop-off points. Shuttle stops include Banyan Boulevard, Clematis Street, Datura Street, Evernia Street, and of course the South entrance of the show where you will be dropped off right at ICON EV’s booth.

Palm Beach Boat Show & ICON EV Champion Sustainability

The Palm Beach Boat Show is owned by the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County and produced by Informa Markets. All together, ICON EV, the City of West Palm Beach, and Informa are committed to producing a sustainable event. In fact, producing a zero-waste and carbon-zero footprint is the ultimate goal. THE GOVERNOR AT THE HELM

DBMIBS sailed into port February 12th, 2025, and kicked off festivities with Florida’s Governor Ron Desantis at the helm. During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Governor Desantis highlighted record-breaking tourism in the state of Florida. The new 2024 statistics show 142.9 million tourists traveled to the great state of Florida. These impressive numbers are heavily attributed to the availability of recreational fishing and boating. The marine industry alone brought approximately $31 billion to the state in 2024, which is a whopping 53% increase just since 2018!

Additionally, Governor Desantis announced the Boater Freedom Initiative, which establishes a “right to boat” in the state of Florida. This initiative aims to preserve the freedom of boaters’ choice by preempting local regulations that could ban the use or sale of boats based on fuel sources. Additionally, this initiative offers recreational boaters reprieve from vessel safety inspections as probable cause for intervention by local and state law enforcement. As a result, FWC and other state and local law enforcement patrols can focus resources toward protecting our precious marine life, fishing resources, and delicate marine habitats and maritime environments. Ultimately, this will allow recreational boaters the opportunity to peacefully relax and enjoy their time on the water.

PGA SHOW – ICON EV ROCKED THE GOLF INDUSTRY

ICON EV was thrilled to appear at the 2025 PGA Show this year. Not only did ICON exhibit, but the whole ICON Family of Brands stole the spotlight!

The PGA Show is the world’s largest and longest-running global gathering specifically for the industry of golf. Organized by the PGA of America, and executed by Reed Exhibitions (RX), the PGA Show brings PGA Tour professionals and industry leaders from all over the world together in Orlando, Florida to experience the latest innovations and ideas that propel the sport and the business of golf to new heights. The ICON team was proud to play a pivotal role in the event this year.

ICON EV SAVED THE DAY ON PGA SHOW DEMO DAY

The aptly named “Demo Day” kicked off the PGA Show, which took place at the Orange County National Golf Center in Orlando, Florida. ICON EV definitely “amped up” the experience by transporting attendees via a fleet of 16 complimentary ICON Electric Vehicle Shuttles. The National Golf Center is a sizable venue, so the shuttle service was a welcome addition to the event.

In addition to the ICON EV shuttle fleet, the ICON Family of Brands resided front-and-center at the entrance. Our team greeted everyone with total enthusiasm as they entered this epic event.

Three brand-new E40FX models made their official industry debut at Demo Day, as well as an EPIC E40L and an ICON i60L. Here, attendees got some of the first in-person looks at this incredible LSV! In typical fashion, the ICON team created quite the buzz by engaging the attendees in spirited games of “The Price is Right” and “This or That.” An incredible DJ boosted the party vibe with a high-energy playlist, which really elevated the Demo Day experience.

ICON’S FAMILY OF BRANDS TOOK THE SPOTLIGHT AT THE SHOW

Following Demo Day, PGA Show Exhibitors and PGA Education Sessions continued at the Orange County Convention Center. A vast array of  products and companies displayed their respective contributions to the golf industry. But ICON EV really stole the show! This event served to highlight the truly innovative line of products and offerings captured within the ICON EV Family of Brands.

ICON EV seized every opportunity to be visible in all 3 display areas. Booth #3157 was ICON’s main residence in the Convention Center. There, 2 of the new E40FX models, 2025 Epic Carts, 2025 ICON EVs, 2025 ICON Gas Vehicles & a HD Utility Vehicle were on display. Guests ventured from there over to the New Product Zone. The E40FX took center stage as the only golf cart model to be highlighted in this inspiring display area!

Finally, SoundExtreme by ECOXGEAR’s booth #3351 captivated the audience. There, the one-of-a-kind and fully-decked-out custom E40FX stole the limelight! This spectacular E40FX rocks every creature comfort imaginable, while sporting the coolest aesthetics around. But the real attention-grabber? Flawless acoustics that just shout PLAY IT LOUD!

Not only did show attendees, media, and golf industry insiders fall in love with the E40FX, but the E40FX was invited to take the stage as a highlight on the Golf Channel 2025’s Best New Model segment!

CHEERS TO SUCCESS!

We had the privilege of co-hosting an industry HAPPY HOUR with SoundExtreme by ECOXGEAR on Wednesday, January 22nd from 4-6 pm. Ultimately, it was the perfect opportunity to demonstrate the synergistic excellence that results by combining the best of the best in LSVs and audio sound.

But that wasn’t all! Throughout the show, ICON EV randomly gave away 5 (yes, FIVE) ICON E-Bikes! All PGA Show guests who stopped by the booth to get their badge scanned was eligible to win.

The Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show, widely known by its acronym FLIBS, was in port Wednesday, October 30th through Sunday, November 3rd, 2024. If you are looking to find a world-class maritime experience, then look no further than FLIBS in sunny South Florida. The world’s largest — and most spectacular — in-water boat show celebrated its 65th Anniversary this year! This world-renowned show spans an action-packed five days and seven locations, which includes an impressive 3 million square feet of exhibit space. All locations are connected through easily-accessible ground and water transportation services, making show exploration seamless and simple. And adding to the simplicity of navigating to, through, and around the show? It’s ICON Shuttles, of course!

ICON entered its third consecutive year as the official FLIBS golf car shuttle. As a result, ICON is now heralded as the official golf car of the marine industry, and the entire ICON Family of Brands has been honored to be such a big part of the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show.

Prospective attendees interested in visiting the show, but overwhelmed by the idea of traffic, were thrilled with the ICON golf cart shuttle solution. Beginning opening day, 25 ICON golf cart shuttles ran loops between Bahia Mar, Hall of Fame, and Superyacht Village.

Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show Spearheads Sustainability Efforts

Despite the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show’s designation as the greatest boat show on the seven seas, sustainability efforts showcase its commitment to a cleaner planet. Owned by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) and produced by Informa Markets, FLIBS aims to produce a zero-waste and net-zero carbon show by the year 2030.

“The marine industry’s commitment to innovation and sustainability is key in preserving our largest asset, our coastal and marine environments,” said MIASF CEO/President Phil Purcell.

The extensive range of sustainability efforts enacted at FLIBS is impressive. These efforts include plastic reduction policies, robust recycling and waste reduction programs, sustainable catering strategies, showcasing exhibitors that spotlight innovative green technologies, and finally, transitioning to renewable and clean energy sources.

ICON’s golf cart shuttles, however, have been a key factor in reducing the carbon footprint of the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show. Since ICON began shuttling attendees at FLIBS, use of the service has increased exponentially each year. Consequently, carbon emissions produced by show traffic has reduced exponentially as well. In fact, the golf cart shuttles covered over 3,200 city miles this year! ICON shuttled a total of 2,282 trips between SuperYacht Village and Hall of Fame/Bahia Mar. In total, approximately 11,500 attendees were shuttled throughout the duration of the show.

The FLIBS Experience

So, what is there to do at an International Boat Show? Soak up the sun, the salty air, and especially the party vibe! Over 1,000 exhibitors and more than 1,300 boats are on display each year, which include products from sunglasses to fishing gear, to small boats and even superyachts.  A vast array of food and beverages are available, and run the gamut from light bites and soft drinks to gourmet dining and sophisticated libations.

Those looking for a luxury experience found their Utopia at the Windward VIP Club, located in the Hall of Fame area of the show. Premium open bars, spectacular culinary options, live music, as well as luxury pop-up activations entertained this year’s visitors. Complimentary water taxi and ground shuttles safely navigated the VIP attendees throughout all 7 show locations.
