Cork's Ballymaloe House Hotel was the setting for a festive fashion shoot for US lifestyle, J. Crew — and the famous cookery school even made an appearance in the glamourous shots.
Founded 40 years ago, J. Crew is an American retailer that specializes in high-quality fashion.
The brand, which has 2.6M followers on Instagram, selected the Cork landmark as the venue for the fashion shoot which was aptly titled ‘Mind your Manors’.
Orchestrated via USA-based Advertising and Collaboration Agency Care of Chan, the picturesque spread showcased the charm of Ballymaloe House Hotel and its surroundings, including the nearby Ballymaloe Cookery School, the fishing village of Ballycotton, local beaches, and cliff walks.
The festive shoot included images of models with pints of Guinness, sitting on bales of hay and getting to work in the famous cookery school.
"It was unlike anything we had hosted before, and a great honour to have been chosen as the venue for fashion icons J. Crew's 'Mind Your Manors' festive three-day photo shoot”, said Laura Behan, General Manager of Ballymaloe House Hotel.
The hotel hosted the US agency along with 14 glamorous high-end fashion and lifestyle influencers.
“We collaborated with their creative team to design striking couture backdrops, featuring dramatic coastline picnics, exceptional tablescapes, garden-to-glass cocktail classes, and culinary extravagance,” Laura Behan added.
It comes after the hotel got a shout-out from Gwyneth Paltrow in the ‘Goop’ seasonal gift guide.
The East Cork hotel was selected by Goop editors in its “The Forward-to-Your-SO” gift guide, alongside other brands including Chanel, Rolex and Birkin.
