Jake O'Brien could soon be forced to impress yet another new Lyon manager.
Cork native O'Brien has broken into a struggling Lyon side whom he joined Crystal Palace from in the summer under the tutelage of Italian boss Fabio Grosso.
The former Cork City centre-half scored the only goal as Lyon - still rooted to the bottom of the table - registered their only win of the campaign against Stade Rennes on November 12.
Grosso was announced as sacked boss Laurent Blanc's replacement in mid-September, and despite hopes for an upturn in form for the French giants, reports in France suggest Grosso's tenure is set to come to an end after failure to change the club's fortunes.
As reported by French publication
, the club are about to relieve Grosso of his duties and will announce academy manager Pierre Sage as his temporary successor.Long-term options to take on the post include Bruno Genesio, Jorge Sampaoli and Igor Tudor.
