Vitalograph is a family-owned business founded sixty years ago in Buckinghamshire in the UK, however, the firm's primary research and development hub and manufacturing site has been in Ennis since 1974. 

In 2022, the respiratory diagnostic producer expanded its operations further, opening a new office on Cecil Street in Limerick following a €10m investment.

The company designs and manufactures medical devices that help clinicians detect and manage respiratory conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and cystic fibrosis. The new roles include positions in clinical trial support, engineering, IT and finance and will be spread across both its Limerick and Ennis sites. 

The firm's latest hiring spree marks its second in two years, with the company announcing the creation of 200 additional jobs last year following its €10m investment.

Out of the 60 new jobs announced as part of the firm's "strategic move" to meet global demand, 50 will be data processing roles, with Vitalograph increasing its capabilities for clinical support trials.
