Major delays on Dublin's M50 after seven-vehicle collision near Red Cow

There are major delays on the M50 in Dublin after multiple collisions on Tuesday morning.

Dublin Fire Brigade attended a seven-vehicle collision near Junction 9 Red Cow in the southbound direction shortly after 7am.

Two lanes were blocked off as a result, leading to tailbacks as far back as J4 Finglas.

The collision has since been moved to the hard shoulder.

In the same direction, there was a collision at J12 Firhouse which is blocking the third lane.

In Cork, there has been a road traffic incident on the N40 Westbound between Mahon and Bloomfield Interchanges blocking one lane.

Resulting queues are back to the Dunkettle Interchange.

More than 170 people have been killed on Irish roads so far in 2023.
