One sleep to go: Patrick Kielty on his first Late Late Toy Show as presenter

When I meet Patrick Kielty in a room in RTÉ’s Donnybrook headquarters, the first thing I notice is the table he’s sitting at.

At this point, it has to be acknowledged that, by and large, there has been nothing but kind words for Kielty’s own performance on the show. Has he read any of the reviews?

Although, with recent news that one in five jobs are to be cut at the broadcaster, one suspects the RTÉ bosses aren’t quite as blasé, and will no doubt be hoping for a Christmas miracle when it comes to viewing figures for the rest of the season.
