Tirlán has confirmed it will pay a total of 33.08c/litre for October creamery milk supplies at 3.6% butterfat and 3.3% protein.
The October milk price of 33.08c/litre is unchanged from September, and consists of a base milk price of 32.58c/litre, and a sustainability action payment of 0.5c/litre to all qualifying suppliers.
Suppliers are encouraged to register their sustainability actions now on the Tirlán FarmLife website to secure the 0.5c/litre for 2024.
The base price and sustainability payment will be adjusted to reflect the actual constituents of milk delivered by suppliers.
The Tirlán total price for October creamery milk, based on LTO constituents of 4.2% butterfat and 3.4% protein, is 36.00c/litre.
Tirlán chairman John Murphy commented: "We welcome the improvement in the dairy commodity markets in recent weeks, and it is good to see the lift as we move towards 2024.
"Buyers remain cautious in the current environment given the geo-political issues and cost of living pressures facing consumers.
"The board will continue to review developments on a monthly basis."
Seasonality payments will apply over the winter months of December, January and February.
A seasonality bonus payment of 4c/litre will be paid on all non-contracted milk volumes supplied during December that meet quality criteria.
