Nemo Rangers premier senior football manager Paul O’Donovan has stepped down after six seasons in charge, according to the Echo.

During his time with Nemo, O’Donovan led the club to three county titles in 2019, 2020 and 2022 and a Munster crown in 2019.

Rangers looked to record back-to-back Cork senior football crowns recently but they were beaten by Castlehaven in the final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh the weekend before last.

Midfielder Barry Cripps had edged Nemo into a 0-9 to 0-8 lead with two and a half minutes remaining but Haven, inspired by the Hurley brothers, rallied to claim a 0-11 to 0-9 triumph.

The citymen will now look to appoint O'Donovan's successor with the recruitment process already underway.
