Thursday, November 30 will be an auction day at the Hotel Minella in Clonmel, County Tipperary. Locally based auctioneers Stokes & Quirke are offering a 57-acre farm at Milestown, Cloneen at 3pm.
The property is described by selling agent John Stokes as being of excellent quality and is located approximately 1.5km from the village of Cloneen in South Tipperary, 8km east of Fethard, 10km from Mullinahone, 24km from Cashel (and the M8) and 16km from Clonmel.
“It’s 57 acres of top-quality free-draining limestone land,” says John. “It’s in one block laid out in five fields and currently under grass but it is suitable for any purpose.”
A mains water connection is available for the property and it benefits from 1km of road frontage onto two different secondary roads. There is a farm yard, with a number of outbuildings. These include a four-span rolltop barn with a lean-to structure, cattle handling facilities, and an older-style rolltop barn.
“And,” the selling agent adds, “the views of Slievenamon and the surrounding countryside have to be seen to be truly appreciated.”
Not many good quality holdings of this size come up in the locality so the auction event should bring a crowd.
“It’s a lovely farm in a great location,” says John. The guide price is quoted as “in excess of €15,000/acre).”
