Dublin’s two-time All-Ireland SFC winning manager Dessie Farrell has agreed a one-year extension into 2025, the county board confirmed on Friday evening.

The Na Fianna man had one year remaining in a two-year term but has accepted the offer of another season, which if he sees it out will be his sixth in total.

In a statement Friday evening, Dublin County Board chairman Mick Seavers said: “We are delighted that Dessie has agreed to stay on with the Dublin senior football team for another two seasons.

“Dessie and his backroom team have dedicated so much of their time and effort to Dublin GAA over the past four seasons. We look forward to continuing to work with them in the years ahead.”

After three years at the helm, Farrell shook on a new two-year term in August of last year and has since guided Dublin to a second All-Ireland SFC title in four seasons.
